The cheesy goodness has been so great that The Cheese Fest is back for its 4th year in Atlanta! This year’s event is on Friday, September 30 from 5 – 10 pm at the Georgia Freight Depot.
You may remember this event as the “Atlanta Cheese Festival,” which is what it has been called for the last three years. But due to exciting growth, the event team decided to change the name to simply “The Cheese Fest” and host this cheesy party in not only Atlanta, but also in Houston and Cincinnati!
The Cheese Fest is every cheese lover’s dream. Attendees get to walk around sampling cheese and artisan foods from all over the world while sipping on wine, beer and other spirits. Love one of the cheeses you taste? They will be available to purchase on the spot!

But my favorite part of The Cheese Fest has to be the two competitions: the Meltdown (grilled cheese) and Macdown (mac and cheese)! Local restaurants put their most creative and decadent spin on grilled cheese and mac and cheese, giving attendees the chance to taste their creations and vote for their favorites!
And no festival would be complete without some live music. This year’s event will feature music by Packway Handle, a Georgia favorite.

Both get you entry to the event with endless cheese samples, access to the Meltdown & Macdown competitions and a drink ticket, but VIP guests also get early access, an extra drink ticket and a cheese pairing experience. But no matter which ticket you purchase, you can feel good about the money spent because a portion of the proceeds go to The Giving Kitchen, an incredible Atlanta restaurant community charity.
