Lately, it seems like Ford Fry is taking over the Atlanta food scene. Maybe that’s because he is.
After hearing he was nominated for the the 2016 James Beard “Outstanding Restaurateur” award, I took it as a sign to finally check out his Tex Mex restaurant at Krog Street Market, Superica. And if you take nothing else away from this blog post… Superica is incredible.
Krog Street Market is a staple of Atlanta. Featuring a mix of food stands, restaurants and retail shops, this Inman Park establishment is a true gem. And when Superica joined the roster of delicious dining options about a year ago, Krog Street Market got even better.
Like all Ford Fry establishments, Superica does everything right. The food, the decor, the ambiance, the service… I mean everything. And I love the versatility! It’s just as great for a romantic date as it is for a fun night out (or brunch!) with friends. I can’t wait for it to warm up so I can take advantage of that gorgeous patio.
Every bite was delicious, but the winner was definitely the barbacoa tacos. The brisket was so tender and the corn tortillas (yay gluten free!) were so fluffy and flavorful! And, as always, never say no to the margaritas. My personal favorite is the Texas Star– especially with grapefruits being in season right now!
But don’t just take my word on it. Take a look at the menu for yourselves! But beware… you might get an urge to jump in your car and drive over to Krog Street Market. You’ve been warned!!
