With the long list of exceptional restaurants in Atlanta, it can be hard to stand out. But Bar Margot does just that.
Located in Midtown’s Four Seasons hotel, Bar Margot is the result of an amazing collaboration between chefs Ford Fry and Robert Gerstenecker. It has that classy, lounge feel, but still manages to keep a laid back vibe. You can expect to taste everything from charcuterie to pasta to meats and more… and don’t even get me started on the cocktails! I’ll take another Gin Margot, please!
Last week, my friends Megha, Natasha and I ate at Bar Margot and everything about the meal was perfect from start to finish.
First, the cocktails came out, and that’s when I knew we were in for a real treat. Megha and I ordered the Gin Margot, while Natasha opted for the Copper Kettle. And as we sipped on our drinks, we dug into the charcuterie and cheese plate.
After we wiped the plate clean, we tasted a ton of other popular dishes. Some of my personal favorites were the crab and avocado toast, the scallops and the ricotta gnudi.
But that wasn’t all. The night ended with a surprise from the kitchen– this was really special! Bar Margot has an awesome dessert that requires a reservation and a few days notice: the chocolate bomb. It can be decorated for any occasion or theme, but last week they brought out a bucket with the ATL Bucket List logo on it! (Thank you, Bar Margot!!) It was really spectacular. But not only was it beautiful, but it also tasted heavenly. Hot caramel sauce was poured on top of the “cake,” causing the whole thing to cave in. Inside was some sort of chocolate mousse and cake.. and other delicious things! Plus, they served it with ice cream. I think I found my new favorite dessert!
